Job Description

We are recruiting for a Senior Digital Marketing Manager to be responsible for leading our digital marketing team and developing and delivering digital marketing channel strategies that support the delivery of the overall marketing and brand strategy to drive both acquisition and retention.

This is a hugely influential role which collectively leads the channels, and team, that account for a vast proportion of our order revenue – presenting a great opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced digital marketer to make their mark.

In this role, you’ll work to drive efficiency and effectiveness of digital channels, namely organic search, paid search, email and affiliates and where appropriate, managing them cohesively to maximise opportunities. You’ll use your excellent digital marketing knowledge to provide guidance and support to a team of digital experts and support to develop further, the digital marketing expertise across the wider marketing team.

You’ll work to develop and drive a program of continuous improvement across all performance channels which will increase efficiency, increase sessions, improve conversion, and drive incremental sales. This will also stretch to considering how digital activity supports our brand objectives and challenges and ensuring we are delivering the customer experience we can.

Agencies and third-party suppliers are key to the success of our channels and so an ability to lead these agencies and to work collaboratively with stakeholders, both within and outside Interflora, is key.

Qualifications

To perform well in the role, we would expect you to have.

  • Outstanding digital marketing skills and knowledge
  • An excellent record of delivering results through digital marketing role, in a sizeable ecommerce environment with knowledge across all digital channels.
  • Experience leading a small team of experts and strong people management skills.
  • An ability to create integrated digital marketing strategies.
  • An exceptional knowledge of the current search landscape for paid and organic as well as an understanding of eCommerce opportunities and risks.
  • Demonstrable experience in data-driven marketing and decision making.
  • A strong understanding of content marketing and the role it plays in an effective marketing strategy.
  • Experience managing a significant budget.
  • Excellent decision-making skills and judgement
  • A formal marketing / digital marketing qualification is desirable.
