Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Privacy Manager to join our growing team and lead data protection efforts across the EMEA region. This role reports directly to the Global Privacy Manager and sits within a collaborative, global privacy team comprised of experienced privacy lawyers and privacy paralegals. The Privacy Manager will manage privacy operations across EMEA working collaboratively with key partners across business units and other governance functions. As Privacy Manager, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with applicable data protection laws (such as GDPR), support business initiatives, and embed privacy by design into our operations and product lifecycle.

What you'll be doing:

  • Support the implementation of the SIE Privacy Programme and monitoring of data protection policies and practices across the EMEA region.
  • Advise internal stakeholders on compliance with GDPR and other applicable privacy laws and regulations.
  • Conduct privacy impact assessments (PIAs/ DPIAs) and guide mitigation of data protection risks.
  • Support incident response teams in the event of data breaches or security incidents, including reporting obligations.
  • Maintain records of processing activities (RoPA) and support internal data protection compliance audits and assessments.
  • Drive privacy training and awareness initiatives for EMEA employees.
  • Collaborate with legal, compliance, security, HR, IT, marketing, and product teams to ensure privacy is embedded in business processes.
  • Act as a regional point of contact to support Privacy Paralegals with data subject rights requests and regulator inquiries.

What we're looking for:

  • Minimum of 5 years (or equivalent) of experience in a privacy, data protection, or compliance role, ideally with regional EMEA responsibility.
  • In-depth knowledge of GDPR and familiarity with other EMEA data protection laws.
  • Experience supporting the implementation of privacy programs in a complex or multinational environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate legal/privacy requirements into practical guidance.
  • Legal degree preferred but not required
  • Professional certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, or similar
