MEU Chocolate is one of the biggest part of our global Mondelēz business (almost 50% of the European business) with over $5.5b worth of annual sales spanning across multiple different brands, countries, and consumer cohorts. It's very complex product portfolio of over 4,200 SKUs with an associated annual volume of 660kT of products is manufactured in.
Leading a team of RDQ professionals in product development, you identify and prioritize development activities. You lead teams that deliver RDQ activities needed to complete product portfolio cost optimization by driving raw material & recipe harmonization opportunities to create scale, revisit product designs & recipes against the respective consumer needs & values and support Procurement & Supply chain in their continued efforts to drive and improve the sourcing strategies.
How you will contribute
You will work with cross-functional partners and more specifically Procurement and Supply Chain to define, initiate and lead teams to successfully deliver business goals using technical rigor and best practices while effectively allocating resources and prioritizing workloads. Influencing skills are important in this role because you will use them to educate business stakeholders about technical risks, ensuring clear communication and understanding to allow for effective cross-functional decision making. You will also create and maintain accurate consumer-led specifications. As a technical and people leader, you demonstrate your own high levels of technical rigor and expertise and that of your team by tapping into internal and external resources to stay up-to-date on the latest best practices and to continuously identify opportunities for improvement, keeping in mind consumers' wants and needs. As a people leader, you recruit, retain and develop a team of direct and indirect reports to ensure highest team performance, and mentor and coach your team and others to grow capability and support career development.

What you need to know about this position:
- University degree in food related technical field (Food Science, Chemical Engineering, or other relevant applied sciences)
- Experience in R&D technical area (product / packaging / process development / quality / regulatory). Chocolate background is highly advantageous.
- Experience in team management preferred
- Experience working in cross functional, multi-disciplined teams operating in a dynamic, outcome-oriented environment.
- Strong technical background and effective communication skills, including proven ability to influence stakeholders
- Fluent in English
- Travel requirements: ~10%
